Middletown is located in central New Jersey in Monmouth County northeast of Trenton with surrounding towns of Red Bank, Holmdel, Hazlet, Atlantic Highlands, Rumson, Fair Haven. The town is located on the Garden State Parkway at exit 114 and along State Highway 35 and has access to the Navesink River and Raritan Bay.

New York City is just a 1 hour by NJ Transit train, Academy Bus or two ferry services (Fast Ferry from Belford and Seastreak from Atlantic Highlands northeast and Atlantic City only 90 minutes south. Newark International Airport is 35 miles to the north and the Philadelphia Airport is 90 miles to the west. The local beaches are a quick 20 minute drive including those in Long Branch, Monmouth Beach, Sea Bright, etc.

Middletown is known for it’s distinct communities including Belford, Chapel Hill, Fairview, Harmony, Leonardo, Lincroft, Locust, Middletown Village, Navesink, New Monmouth, North Middletown, Oak Hill, Port Monmouth and River Plaza.  In the 41-square mile municipality, there are a range of homes for a wide range of needs. Residents can enjoy hiking and biking trails to gardens and seashore parks all preserved and maintained by the park system. Those located in town include Tatum Park, Hartshorne Park and Huber Park.

The beaches start at Sandy Hook National Park, just 15 minutes from most of Middletown and stretch for the full eastern portion of the county and the state. There are also many close-by recreational facilities including Keansburg Amusement Park and Seven Presidents Park. Not to mention, the many golf courses, Great Adventure within 45 minutes, Middletown and Monmouth county offer a wide range of activities for all ages.

The Monmouth County Coastline starts at Sandy Hook, just 15 minutes from most of Middletown which includes Sandy Hook National Park and has a beautiful residential and recreational shore towns including Monmouth Beach, Sea Bright, Belmar, Spring Lake and many others.
